Chandrababu Naidu Envisions AI Professionals in Every Household; MoU with Google Signed
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu shared his vision of embedding Artificial Intelligence (AI) in every household across Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize governance and service delivery. During a review meeting on the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) at the Secretariat, Naidu highlighted the crucial role AI will play in enhancing efficiency and improving the state’s performance across all sectors.
Drawing parallels to the state’s success in Information Technology (IT), Naidu expressed confidence that scaling AI could produce significant outcomes. He urged all government departments to embrace technology to drive performance, with a target growth rate of 15-20%.
In a strategic move, Naidu revealed that the state government had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Google. Under this collaboration, government departments will connect their data with RTGS, allowing Google to analyze the information using AI and provide actionable insights for improving governance.
Additionally, Naidu announced the upcoming launch of WhatsApp Governance Services, which will enable citizens to access key public services, including birth and death certificates, directly via WhatsApp.
K. Dinesh Kumar, CEO of RTGS, also provided an update on the data integration process, sharing that the project is progressing rapidly. Efforts are being made to ensure that every village has a unique profile, and data collection is underway to incorporate citizens who are not yet in government records.
This AI-driven initiative is expected to streamline governance, making services more accessible and efficient for all residents of Andhra Pradesh.
