The preliminary trends in the Andhra Pradesh electoral roll indicate strong support for the TDP+ alliance. The surge in support is significant, with the Jana Sena Party (JSP), which secured only one seat in 2019, now showing better performance than the YSR Congress Party (YCP).
According to ongoing reports, JSP is currently leading in 17 seats, whereas YCP is leading in just 16 seats. This represents a substantial victory for the JSP faction.
Regarding the TDP+ alliance as a whole, the coalition is leading in over 130 assembly constituencies, while YCP is struggling to reach even 20 seats.
Pawan Kalyan, the leader of JSP, pledged to challenge Jagan Mohan Reddy in the elections, and he appears to be fulfilling this promise, with JSP gaining significant ground over the incumbent YCP government.
The shift in seats is noteworthy: JSP has increased its representation from 1 to 17, while YSR Congress has decreased from 151 to 16. This marks a striking and unexpected disparity.
