Supporters of the NDA alliance parties have been buoyant following widespread projections favoring their victory in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. Their optimism was further bolstered by the ‘India Today – Axis My India’ exit poll results, unveiled recently.

Having earlier hinted at favorable outcomes in Andhra Pradesh during Saturday evening’s announcement regarding Lok Sabha polls, the latest projections indicate that the coalition comprising TDP, JSP, and BJP is poised to secure between 98 to 120 seats out of the 175 assembly constituencies.

According to the analysis by the Axis My India team, Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena party has been pivotal, ensuring consolidation of anti-incumbency votes and rallying support from the Kapu community towards the alliance. The Telugu Desam Party is expected to capture 42% of the vote share, while Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP is projected to garner 44%. Janasena’s influence in East Godavari and West Godavari districts has led to a reported 7% vote share, with the BJP contributing an additional 2%, bringing the NDA’s cumulative share to 51%, posing a significant challenge to YSRCP’s electoral aspirations. The Congress party, meanwhile, holds a minimal 2% vote share.

In terms of seat distribution, TDP is anticipated to secure between 78 to 96 seats, Janasena between 16 to 18 seats, and BJP between 4 to 6 seats. Conversely, YSRCP is expected to fall short of expectations with 55 to 77 seats.

These predictions follow the recent assembly election results in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, where Axis My India’s forecasts closely aligned with the final outcomes.
