Telangana Government Extends Incremental Revision (IR) to Public Sector Employees
The Telangana government has announced a significant move to benefit public sector employees by issuing a new government order (GO) ensuring that they will now receive Incremental Revision (IR) on par with state government employees. This revision will apply to a wide range of employees, including those working in government-owned corporations, non-teaching staff in universities, cooperative society workers, and pensioners from these institutions.
Under the new order, employees in these sectors will receive an interim relief (IR) that matches the one granted to state government employees and pensioners. As part of this revision, a 5% increase in basic pay has been announced, providing much-needed financial relief to employees and pensioners alike.
This decision follows the government’s earlier announcement in October of the previous year, which included an IR hike for state government employees and pensioners. In response to numerous requests from various sectors, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government has now extended these benefits to other public sector employees, ensuring broader support across the state.
This move is seen as a positive step toward enhancing the welfare of public sector employees in Telangana and aligning their benefits with those of state government workers.
