Hyderabad: Man Rescued from Floodwaters After Heavy Rainfall Causes Disruptions
Hyderabad: On August 19, a man riding a bike in Ramnagar narrowly avoided being swept away by floodwaters that surged from a side lane onto the main road following heavy rains in the city. The man, who was trying to navigate through the intense flow of water, lost control of his bike and fell, with his foot becoming trapped beneath the vehicle.
As floodwaters began to drag him away, bystanders quickly intervened. Despite their best efforts, the rescue proved difficult as the man and his bike were being pulled along by the strong currents. Fortunately, the bystanders were eventually able to rescue him from the dangerous situation.
The heavy rains have caused significant waterlogging across Hyderabad, submerging roads in several low-lying areas and leading to widespread traffic disruptions and commuter inconvenience. While the rains have provided relief from the recent heat and humidity, they have also introduced new challenges for residents.
In response to the flooding, traffic police have issued advisories for affected areas, particularly Shaikpet and Tolichowki, to alert citizens and mitigate the impact of the waterlogging.
