Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Announces Commencement of JEE Advanced 2024 Registration
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is set to commence the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024) on April 27, 2024. Eligible candidates who have qualified for the exam can complete their registration online through the official website of JEE Advanced 2024.
The registration deadline for the exam is May 7, 2024, following a revision from the previous dates of April 21-30. Scheduled for May 26, 2024, the exam date remains unchanged.
Candidates will have until May 10, 2024, to make the necessary payment to complete the registration process. The registration fee for general category students is Rs 3,200, while female candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories will pay Rs 1,600. Once paid, the registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Admit cards will be available for download from May 17 to May 26, 2024. These cards will contain essential details such as the candidate’s name, JEE (Advanced) 2024 roll number, photograph, signature, date of birth, address for correspondence, and category.
The examination will be conducted exclusively in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. It will consist of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each with a duration of three hours. Both papers are compulsory, and each will include sections on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
JEE (Advanced) serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate courses at IITs, leading to Bachelor’s, Integrated Masters, or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Architecture. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is the organizing institute for JEE Advanced 2024.
