India Successfully Launches Intermediate-Range Ballistic Missile Agni 4
New Delhi: The Ministry of Defence announced on Friday the successful launch of the intermediate-range ballistic missile Agni 4. The missile was test-fired from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha, marking a significant achievement for India’s defense capabilities.
An official statement from the ministry confirmed that the launch met all operational and technical parameters, showcasing the missile’s reliability and precision. The test was conducted under the oversight of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC), ensuring adherence to stringent protocols.
This successful launch follows the flight test of the new generation ballistic missile Agni-Prime on April 4, which was also conducted by the SFC in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The Agni series of missiles, developed indigenously, are known for their long-range and nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missile capabilities.
The successful test of Agni 4 underscores India’s continued advancements in missile technology and its commitment to enhancing national security.
