Hyderabad: Intermediate Colleges in Telangana Set to Reopen on June 1
Intermediate colleges in Hyderabad and across Telangana are preparing to reopen on Saturday, June 1, in accordance with the academic calendar released by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE). Classes for both first-year and second-year students for the academic year 2024-25 are scheduled to commence on this date.
The academic year will consist of 227 working days and 75 holidays.
Admissions in Intermediate Colleges
While most private and corporate intermediate colleges have nearly completed their admissions process, government institutions are lagging behind. The deadline for the first phase of admissions in these colleges is June 30.
Affiliations
The TG BIE has granted affiliations to a total of 2,353 intermediate colleges across Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana. Of these, 421 are government colleges and 601 are private unaided colleges. In Hyderabad alone, there are 177 junior colleges, with 22 being government institutions.
