Renowned Film Editor Nishad Yusuf Found Dead at 43
Noted Tamil and Malayalam film editor Nishad Yusuf was found dead in his apartment in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi, in the early hours of Wednesday. He was just 43 years old, and the cause of his death is currently unknown. Reports indicate that his body was discovered around 2 a.m., leaving the film industry in shock.
Nishad was working as the editor for Suriya’s much-anticipated pan-India film Kanguva, and he had participated in the film’s pre-release event just days before his untimely passing. His death has left a profound impact on the Malayalam film community, with many colleagues and fans struggling to come to terms with the heartbreaking news.
Making his debut in 2019 with the film Unda, which starred the legendary Mammootty, Nishad quickly established himself as a talented editor. His notable works include Thallumaala, Operation Java, Kannalan, Saudi Vellakka, Exit, and Adios Amigo.
In addition to his contributions to the Malayalam film industry, Nishad also edited the Telugu film Bubblegum, featuring Roshan Kanakala and Manasa Chowdary.
