Yogi Adityanath to Campaign for BJP in Maharashtra, Addresses Key Constituencies
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to visit Maharashtra on Tuesday to bolster the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign ahead of the crucial Maharashtra Assembly elections. Adityanath will address three key public meetings, campaigning for BJP candidates, including Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and several others contesting in important constituencies.
The Uttar Pradesh CM will kick off his campaign in the Achalpur Assembly constituency, where he will rally support for BJP candidate Praveen Tayde. He will then move to Akola West constituency to campaign for Vijay Kamalkishor Agrawal, the BJP candidate. His third and final public meeting in Maharashtra will focus on securing votes for Devendra Fadnavis, the BJP candidate from Nagpur South West constituency, and several other candidates from the Nagpur region, including Mohan Gopalrao Mate (Nagpur South), Krishna Pancham Khopde (Nagpur East), Pravin Prabhakarrao Datke (Nagpur Central), and Milind Pandurang Mane (Nagpur North, SC).
Yogi Adityanath had previously held a public meeting in Washim on November 6, urging voters to support the MahaYuti alliance, which includes the BJP, the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, and the NCP faction led by Ajit Pawar. The alliance is aiming for a second consecutive term in the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled for November 20. Adityanath strongly criticized the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, describing it as “Maha Anari” (incompetent).
In the November 20 polls, the MahaYuti coalition is contesting 288 Assembly seats, with the BJP fielding candidates in 148 constituencies, the Shinde-led Shiv Sena contesting 80 seats, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP competing in 53 constituencies. The MVA alliance, consisting of the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP), is positioned as the key opposition.
The Maharashtra Assembly election will be held in a single phase on November 20, with the results expected to be announced on November 23.
