Modi Labels Congress as Irresponsible and a “Factory to Spread Hatred” After Haryana Defeat
Mumbai: Following the Congress party’s defeat in the Haryana assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, October 9, criticized the Congress as an “irresponsible party” that aims to sow division among communities. Modi claimed that the BJP’s success in Haryana reflects the prevailing sentiment across the country.
While addressing various development projects worth over Rs 7,600 crore in Maharashtra, Modi emphasized the need for a larger victory for the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. He remarked that the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) seeks to weaken Maharashtra in their quest for power, contrasting this with the ruling Mahayuti’s focus on strengthening the state.
Highlighting the rapid development under his government, Modi criticized the previous Congress regime for its alleged corruption, asserting that never before has Maharashtra experienced such swift project implementation.
“The Congress is an irresponsible party and a factory to spread hatred. They are not focused on development or legacy, while we are committed to both,” he stated, reiterating the government’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” that prioritizes the upliftment of the poor, farmers, youth, and women.
Modi further accused Congress of fostering fear among Muslims to secure their votes, stating that their strategy is aimed at dividing Hindus and pitting one community against another.
