Director Nelson Announces Update on Jailer 2
Jailer, the blockbuster hit of 2023 and arguably the biggest success in Superstar Rajinikanth’s illustrious career, will have a sequel. Directed by Nelson, the original film garnered widespread acclaim and cemented its place as a significant milestone in Indian cinema.
During a recent awards event, Nelson provided a crucial update regarding Jailer 2. He revealed that an official announcement about the sequel will be made within the next month. According to Nelson, the script for Jailer 2 has been finalized, and the production house, Sun Pictures, will soon disclose further details.
The anticipation surrounding Jailer 2 is palpable, given the massive success of the first installment. The original film featured a stellar cast including Ramya Krishna, Vinayakan, and Vasant Ravi, with notable cameos by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Tamannaah.
Currently, Superstar Rajinikanth is engaged in two other major projects. Vettaiyan, directed by TG Gnanavel, is scheduled for a grand release on October 10, 2024. Additionally, Rajinikanth is set to star in Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which is expected to hit theaters in 2025.
