New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday affirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring ‘ease of living’ for its citizens and pledged to continue taking steps in this direction as she assumed her role under Modi 3.0.

Upon her arrival at the North Block office, Sitharaman was welcomed by Finance Secretary T.V. Somanathan and other secretaries from the Ministry of Finance and Corporate Affairs. She received briefings on ongoing policy matters.

Sitharaman emphasized that the strong leadership and development-oriented governance over the past decade have driven transformative changes across various sectors, creating a robust and resilient economy.

She reiterated that the reforms initiated since 2014 will persist, further enhancing macroeconomic stability and growth for India. She also highlighted India’s impressive growth trajectory in recent years, despite global challenges, and noted the optimistic economic outlook for the future.

The Finance Minister urged departments to pursue the NDA government’s development agenda with renewed vigor and ensure responsive policymaking to achieve the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.

She underscored the government’s commitment to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ and called for the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders, including industry leaders, regulators, and citizens, to build a strong and vibrant economy.
