Hyderabad: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced stringent regulations for NEET-UG 2024, prohibiting bio-breaks during the first hour and last half-hour of the examination.
Candidates were strongly advised to arrive promptly at their designated examination centers to complete pre-examination procedures. Scheduled for Sunday, this examination stands as the largest competitive test in India, boasting a record 24 lakh aspirants registered to participate.
Subodh Kumar Singh, Chief of NTA, underscored the agency’s commitment to upholding integrity and equity throughout the examination process. Rigorous security protocols and administrative arrangements have been meticulously implemented to ensure the seamless administration of the examination.
In an effort to curb malpractices, NTA has introduced multi-stage biometric authentication for both candidates and invigilation staff. Singh emphasized the imperative for candidates to adhere strictly to ethical conduct, cautioning against any form of unfair practices and affirming a zero-tolerance stance towards such behavior.
In instances of impersonation, severe repercussions await both the impersonator and the implicated applicant. Legal measures will be pursued, and the applicant will face disqualification from future examinations if found complicit in such misconduct. The agency stressed the criticality of upholding the integrity of the examination process to ensure fairness for all candidates involved.
