Elections Held for Graduate and Teachers’ MLC Seats in Andhra Pradesh
Elections are underway today in Andhra Pradesh for two Graduate MLC constituencies and one Teachers’ MLC constituency. Polling is taking place for the Graduate MLC seats in the Guntur-Krishna and twin Godavari districts, along with the Teachers’ MLC seat in the Uttarandhra region.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh cast their votes at a polling booth in Undavalli, highlighting their participation in the democratic process.
However, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, despite his political prominence, was unable to cast his vote in these elections. As per the rules, only graduates are eligible to vote in the Graduate MLC elections. Since Pawan Kalyan does not hold a graduate degree, he did not meet the necessary eligibility criteria.
Despite his inability to vote, Pawan Kalyan took to social media to release a video urging voters to support the alliance candidates in the ongoing elections, emphasizing the importance of their participation in shaping the state’s future.
