Pawan Kalyan Urges Action on Hindus’ Safety in Bangladesh, Criticizes Governance Issues in AP
The arrest of ISKCON preacher Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh has raised significant concerns, especially among the Hindu community in India. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has responded strongly to the incident, calling for collective efforts to address the matter and for an end to the targeting of Hindus in Bangladesh.
In a series of social media posts, Pawan Kalyan expressed his deep distress, urging Bangladesh’s interim Prime Minister, Muhammad Yunus, to take immediate action to halt the ongoing attacks on Hindus. He recalled India’s vital role in Bangladesh’s liberation during the 1971 war against Pakistan, emphasizing the sacrifices of Indian soldiers who fought for Bangladesh’s independence. Kalyan made it clear that the bond between the two nations should be strengthened, especially in protecting religious freedoms.
Additionally, Pawan Kalyan, during his visit to Delhi, addressed concerns over corruption allegations against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He highlighted that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is currently investigating the Adani bribery allegations, with further discussions planned at the state cabinet level. Kalyan also criticized the previous administration for various irregularities and emphasized that all issues will be thoroughly examined and necessary actions will follow.
In another significant development, Kalyan commented on the illegal transportation of red sandalwood from Andhra Pradesh that had been intercepted in Karnataka. He assured that the state would take decisive actions regarding the revenue share from the seized sandalwood. Kalyan also mentioned that he had already discussed the matter with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Pawan Kalyan’s statements reflect his commitment to addressing both national and state issues, from ensuring the safety of religious communities to holding the government accountable for past governance issues.
