Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened in Andhra Pradesh to participate in a joint election meeting alongside Pawan Kalyan and other NDA stakeholders at the “Praja Galam” gathering in Rajahmundry today. In a departure from past engagements, he addressed concerns regarding the YSR Congress government led by YS Jagan.
PM Modi articulated, “Under Chandrababu Naidu’s governance, Andhra Pradesh witnessed significant developmental strides. However, the YSR Congress government has veered off the path of progress, plunging the state into debt and various challenges. The NDA (TDP+Janasena+BJP) coalition remains the sole proponent of welfare and development.”
Emphasizing the urgency of Andhra’s role in national progress, Modi remarked, “While the nation surges ahead, Andhra Pradesh must lead in development. Regrettably, the state government’s actions belie this imperative, displaying a lack of commitment to progress. Presently, there is a conspicuous absence of tangible achievements, coupled with pervasive corruption. The state’s failure to expedite central government projects and prioritize public welfare is evident.”
The impending response from ministers critiquing the Andhra Pradesh government will be intriguing, especially considering the backdrop of PM Modi’s remarks.
