PM Modi Slams Opposition Parties in Bhubaneswar, Accuses Them of Spreading Propaganda
Bhubaneswar, Nov 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce critique of opposition parties during a public address in Bhubaneswar on Friday, accusing them of engaging in relentless propaganda and spreading falsehoods against the BJP government. He asserted that despite the opposition’s continuous smear campaign, the people of India continue to support the BJP due to its developmental work and governance.
PM Modi, who is in Bhubaneswar for a three-day visit to attend the All-India DG/IGP Conference, addressed party workers at a felicitation program shortly after arriving at Biju Patnaik International Airport. The Prime Minister remarked that the opposition, which has been out of power at the center for over a decade, is frustrated by the people’s vote for the BJP. This frustration, he said, has fueled their anger and led them to conspire against the country by misleading the public.
“The opposition has been running a ‘jhoot aur afwah ki dukan’ (shop of lies and propaganda) for the last several years, and their campaign has only intensified,” Modi said. He called on BJP workers and citizens to stay vigilant and work towards exposing these false narratives.
PM Modi emphasized that the opposition’s sole aim is to seize power and mislead the people for their own benefit. He noted that the once-popular slogan “Chowkidar Chor Hai” was no longer being used by the opposition, suggesting that their focus has shifted purely to capturing power.
Lauding the BJP government in Odisha under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the Prime Minister commended the state government for fulfilling its promises and prioritizing the welfare of the people. He also highlighted that for the first time, the DGP conference is being held in Odisha, and the Indian Navy will showcase its strength at an ‘Operational Demonstration’ at the Blue Flag Beach on December 4.
Additionally, PM Modi announced that the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be held in Bhubaneswar from January 8 to 10, bringing together Indian-origin people from around the world. He said the event would provide a significant boost to Odisha’s tourism sector.
Later in the evening, PM Modi met with BJP leaders, including MLAs and MPs, for an important two-hour-long meeting at the party’s state office. The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the All-India Conference of Director Generals/Inspector Generals of Police at the State Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar from November 30 to December 1, 2024.
PM Modi’s visit is expected to strengthen the BJP’s presence in Odisha while highlighting the party’s commitment to the state’s growth and development.
