Prime Minister Modi Concludes Successful US Visit, Engages in Key Bilateral Talks
New York: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned to New Delhi after a productive three-day visit to the United States, characterized by significant bilateral discussions with global leaders during the Quad Leaders’ Summit and the UN Summit of the Future.
In the final phase of his visit, PM Modi engaged in talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of Vatican City, on the sidelines of the UN event. Expressing his sentiments on social media, Modi shared, “Wonderful to have met Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia…,” highlighting the importance of the meeting.
The Prime Minister also held crucial discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, reaffirming India’s commitment to a “clear, consistent, and constructive” approach aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Modi emphasized the necessity of diplomacy and dialogue, stating, “We are committed to implementing the outcomes of my visit to Ukraine last month to strengthen bilateral relations.”
This meeting marked the third interaction between Modi and Zelensky in just over three months, reflecting a growing rapport and mutual interest in maintaining close communication.
Additionally, PM Modi met with Vietnamese President To Lam, aiming to bolster the multifaceted relationship between India and Vietnam. After their discussions, Modi remarked, “We took stock of the full range of India-Vietnam friendship… We look forward to adding momentum in sectors such as connectivity, trade, culture, and more.”
Before these engagements, PM Modi addressed the UN Summit of the Future, assuring global leaders of India’s dedication to protecting human rights and fostering global prosperity. He stated, “India will continue to work in thought, words, and deeds for the benefit of all humanity.”
