Actor and Filmmaker Posani Krishna Murali Arrested in Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh police have arrested actor and filmmaker Posani Krishna Murali following a complaint filed by Jana Sena leader Mani. Murali, who was taken into custody by Rayachoti police from his residence in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, is expected to be transferred to the Obulavaripalle police station shortly.
The arrest comes after multiple cases were registered against Murali, with a total of 11 cases filed under non-bailable sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Sections 196, 353(2), and 111 read with 3(5). The charges stem from allegations that Murali made objectionable remarks about various political figures, including N. Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh, during the tenure of the previous YSR Congress Party government. He also faces charges related to his critical comments on the Nandi Awards.
Authorities have confirmed that Posani Krishna Murali will undergo a medical examination before being presented in court. The legal proceedings surrounding this case are ongoing, and further developments are expected in the coming days.
