Prabhas Joins Manchu Vishnu’s ‘Kannappa’ in Pivotal Role; New Poster Released

The upcoming film Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, has gained significant attention due to the inclusion of Prabhas in a key role. While initial rumors suggested Prabhas would portray Lord Siva, the actor has instead chosen to play the character of Rudra, a unique and intriguing role that diverges from expectations. Consequently, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has been brought in to portray Lord Siva.
The film’s makers have now released a new poster showcasing Prabhas’ look as Rudra, where he is seen dressed as a devotee of Lord Siva—a portrayal that marks a first for the actor in his career. Fans are excited about this fresh character, particularly as it comes ahead of his much-anticipated appearance in Raja Saab.
Kannappa is expected to be a visually spectacular film, featuring an ensemble cast that includes Manchu Mohan Babu, Mukesh Rushi, Mohanlal, and Madhoo. With a release date set for April 25, 2025, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be a landmark project in Indian cinema.
