Pushpa: The Rule’s Chennai Event Elevates Anticipation, with Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna Leading the Charge
The much-awaited sequel Pushpa: The Rule is generating tremendous buzz in Tamil Nadu, following the massive success of its prequel, Pushpa: The Rise. AGS Entertainment, the Tamil version distribution company, is planning an unparalleled release, with 3500 shows slated across 800 theaters in the state on day one.
Following the resounding success of the promotional event in Patna last week, the film’s team hosted an equally grand promotional event in Chennai today. The event became a talking point on social media, thanks to the engaging speeches and lively performances by the cast and crew, including Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Sree Leela, Devi Sri Prasad, and others.
Rashmika Mandanna, with her infectious charm and emotional reflections, stole the show. In a heartfelt speech, she shared how Pushpa had significantly impacted her career and personal life. Her candid answer to a question about whether she would marry someone from the industry or an outsider made headlines, especially when she cryptically replied, “Everyone knows about it.”
Meanwhile, music composer Devi Sri Prasad, who has been a key part of Pushpa’s success, expressed his frustration with the producers for replacing him with other music directors for scoring the background music in the sequel. Speaking directly to the issue, Devi Sri Prasad said, “Be it the payment from the producers or the credit for our work, we should ask and get it. Nobody will give us the credit we deserve if we don’t demand it.” While his remarks were met with a smile from the crowd, the hurt and disappointment in his voice were palpable, suggesting underlying tensions within the team.
Allu Arjun, known for his electrifying presence, captivated the audience with his emotional speech. In a heartfelt moment, he expressed his deep connection to Chennai, saying, “I would love to dedicate everything I achieve in my life and career to my roots in Chennai. I will always like to identify myself as a boy next door from T. Nagar, Chennai.” The crowd erupted in applause when he took to the stage to perform the iconic ‘Pushpa Pushpa’ song, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
The success of both the Patna and Chennai promotional events has undoubtedly taken the anticipation for Pushpa: The Rule to new heights. With further promotional events scheduled in Kolkata, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, the excitement surrounding the film continues to build. However, director Sukumar, who has been occupied with post-production work, has yet to attend any of the events. Fans are hopeful that he will find time to join the upcoming promotional activities as the release date draws closer.
