Telangana to Launch 28 Integrated Residential Schools for Underprivileged Students
Hyderabad – In a significant move to enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged students, the Telangana government will lay the foundation stones for 28 Young India Integrated Residential Schools across the state today. This initiative is part of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s broader effort to strengthen the educational infrastructure in Telangana.
Chief Minister Reddy will inaugurate the event by laying the foundation stone at Kondurg in Shadnagar, Ranga Reddy district. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka will preside over a similar ceremony in Madhira.
During a teleconference with district collectors on Thursday, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari emphasized the importance of organizing the events with grandeur and urged collectors to invite public representatives from their respective districts to participate in the ceremonies.
The ambitious project aims to provide international-standard education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring they have access to quality learning environments. The Roads and Buildings Department will oversee the construction of these schools, which are expected to set new benchmarks for education in the state.
In this initial phase, 28 locations have been selected for the establishment of the schools. The government plans to identify additional sites for a second phase based on land availability.
The foundation stones will be laid in various districts, including Kodangal, Madhira, Husnabad, Nalgonda, Huzurnagar, Manthani, Mulugu, Palair, Khammam, Warangal, Kollapur, Andole, Chandrayangutta, Mancherial, Bhupalpally, Achampet, Station Ghanpur, Tungaturthi, Munugode, Chennur, Shadnagar, Parkal, Narayankhed, Devarakadra, Nagarkurnool, Manakondur, and Narsampet.
This initiative is expected to significantly uplift educational opportunities for students from underprivileged sections across Telangana, contributing to a more equitable educational landscape in the state.
