Sai Pallavi Officially Cast as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana
In an exciting announcement for film enthusiasts, Sai Pallavi has been confirmed to portray Sita in the upcoming Bollywood adaptation of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role as Lord Rama, while the talented KGF star Yash will take on the role of Raavan. Yash recently expressed his enthusiasm about Sai Pallavi’s casting, highlighting that her inclusion was a collaborative decision, noting her exceptional acting skills.
During a promotional event for her latest film, Amaran, Sai Pallavi addressed questions about her role as Sita. Although she humorously refrained from sharing specific details, citing contractual obligations, she emphasized the spiritual significance of the character to her. “It’s a very spiritual experience for me, like all films are,” she shared.
Sai Pallavi elaborated on her approach to embodying the character, stating, “To be playing the character of Sitamma, I first have to shut down the fear of wanting to be Sitamma. Every time I try to be there, I pray saying, you act through me and do what you have to do for the people; I am just a vessel.” This profound dedication underscores her commitment to the role.
Expressing a desire to connect deeply with the character, she added, “I don’t want to be actress Sai Pallavi, but want to be a devotee Sai Pallavi through which I have been given an opportunity to be playing Sithamma. I will learn whatever I get to through the movie and maybe we will discuss what I learned.”
Sai Pallavi’s heartfelt reflections on her role illustrate her profound dedication and suitability for the iconic character of Sita in this much-anticipated cinematic rendition of Ramayana.
