She captioned the post with the hashtag “#FightLikeAGirl,” a message that resonated with many of her followers for its empowering and bold stance.
The wedding of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala is set to take place today at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, the iconic venue founded in 1976 by Chaitanya’s legendary grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The ceremony, scheduled for December 4 at 8:15 PM, has been highly anticipated, with many from the film industry and the Akkineni family expressing their joy and excitement.
Speaking to The Times of India, Nagarjuna, Chaitanya’s father, revealed that he was impressed by Sobhita’s performance in the 2018 film Goodachari. After inviting her to his home for a chat, Nagarjuna fondly recalled that it was during one of her visits that Chaitanya and Sobhita first met.
In an emotional gesture, Naga Chaitanya has decided to honor his grandfather’s legacy by wearing a traditional ‘pancha’ at the wedding ceremony, a style synonymous with Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s timeless elegance. This decision has struck a chord with fans, who have praised Chaitanya for his humility and respect for his roots.
The wedding will be an intimate, yet grand affair, with the couple’s pre-wedding ritual, mangal snaanam, having gone viral for its simplicity and heartfelt nature. The eight-hour-long wedding ceremony will be held at Annapurna Studios, a 22-acre property in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
For her big day, Sobhita has chosen a Kanjivaram silk saree adorned with real gold zari, paying tribute to her cultural heritage. She will also wear a white khadi saree, handwoven in Ponduru, Andhra Pradesh, which she will pair with a matching outfit for Naga Chaitanya. The couple’s wedding is set to be a beautiful blend of tradition, simplicity, and elegance.
