‘Sarangapani Jathakam’: A Blend of Comedy, Astrology, and Thrills
The teaser of Sarangapani Jathakam hints at a gripping tale where the protagonist’s obsession with astrology becomes his downfall. Priyadarshi’s lead character is surrounded by a talented ensemble cast, including Srinivas Avasarala, VK Naresh, Roopa Kodavayur, and Tanikella Bharani, each contributing depth to the narrative.
Directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti, this marks his third collaboration with producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, following the successes of Sammohanam and Gentleman. The film appears to be a unique mix of contemporary comedy and thrilling elements. The comedy, which feels fresh and organic, is reminiscent of the humour seen in classic films by Jandhyala and EVV Satyanarayana, with Vennela Kishore playing a pivotal role, reprising his successful partnership with Indraganti after Ami Thumi.
The film also features intriguing horoscopic themes, and its music, composed by Vivek Sagar, adds to the overall charm. Cinematographer PG Vinda brings the story to life with stunning visuals. The film is set to release on December 20, 2024.
Vijay Deverakonda, who launched the teaser, expressed his excitement for the project, highlighting the intriguing premise and the shared history with Priyadarshi from their work on Pelli Choopulu.
