Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz was admitted to King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah on Wednesday, April 24, for a routine medical checkup.
According to a statement from the Royal Court reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was admitted “to undergo routine examinations, which are expected to take a few hours.”
The 88-year-old King Salman, who ascended to the throne in 2015, was previously hospitalized in May 2022 for a colonoscopy and medical tests. He also underwent gallbladder surgery in 2020.
