Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the establishment of a Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre of Excellence in Paris during the Choose France Summit, emphasizing its commitment to innovation and collaboration.
Situated at the new TCS PacePort in Paris, the center will specialize in advancing the brain-machine interface, cultivating empathy in artificial intelligence, and harnessing AI’s creative potential, TCS stated.
Rammohan Gourneni, Country Head of TCS France, highlighted the center’s initial focus on enhancing human-centered AI capabilities across sectors such as banking & financial services (BFS), manufacturing, and consumer industries.
The newly inaugurated center will integrate into France’s burgeoning AI landscape, leveraging the country’s rich pool of design and engineering talent to pioneer cutting-edge technologies in the realm of human-centric AI.
Addressing the multifaceted scope of the center, Harrick Vin, Chief Technology Officer at TCS, underscored its dedication to talent development and its intention to draw upon France’s renowned design culture, epitomized by its fashion, luxury sector, and cultural institutions.
TCS has been actively investing in France since its inception in 1992, marked by strategic acquisitions such as TKS-Teknosoft in 2006 and Alti in 2013, which significantly bolstered its presence and capabilities in the region.
