Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized the universal relevance of Prophet Muhammad’s teachings, urging that they serve as a guide not only for Muslims but for anyone striving for peace globally. Speaking at the release of Prophet for the World, a book by Moulana Khalid Safiullah Rahmani, President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Revanth Reddy called for vigilance against those who spread divisive rhetoric to further their own political agendas.
In his address, Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of having a strong opposition to voice the concerns of the people in the legislature. He praised Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi for consistently advocating for the poor, even if his criticisms were directed at the Congress party. Revanth noted that many current MPs from the business and corporate sectors often neglect the representation of the impoverished.
Revanth Reddy highlighted the need for political cooperation post-elections, citing his government’s collaborative efforts with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) in rejuvenating the polluted Esa and Musi Rivers. He assured that those displaced by these environmental efforts would be provided with 2BHK housing.
Reflecting on the role of religious texts in promoting unity and peace, Revanth Reddy emphasized that teachings from the Bhagavad Gita, the Quran, and the Bible all advocate for harmony and shared values. He called for collective efforts to advance the country and maintain global peace.
Moulana Khalid Safiullah Rahmani praised Prophet Muhammad as a model for humanity, highlighting the Prophet’s teachings on the equality of all humans, respect for women, and the ethical treatment of animals and plants. Rahmani underscored that Prophet Muhammad advocated for the sanctity of all lives, regardless of religious affiliation, and emphasized compassion towards the natural world.
