Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu Attends MINExpo 2024 in Las Vegas
Hyderabad: Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu began his visit to MINExpo 2024 in Las Vegas, USA, on September 24. Recognized as the world’s largest mining exhibition, the event is running from September 24 to 26 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and features over 44,000 professionals from more than 125 countries.
MINExpo serves as a vital platform for showcasing the latest innovations and technologies in mining, fostering important industry networking opportunities. During his visit, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu engaged in several significant meetings with leading industry players.
He met with the management of Komatsu to explore advanced mining products, including the D475A-8 mining dozer and the GD955-7 motor grader. Additionally, he interacted with representatives from Caterpillar Inc., where he examined their state-of-the-art offerings such as the Cat®️ 798 AC mining truck, designed for autonomous operations, and the Cat R1700 XE load-haul-dump loader.
Mallu also connected with representatives from BKT Tyres and the Wirtgen Group to review their latest contributions to the mining sector. Beyond industry discussions, he held talks with high-ranking U.S. government officials, including Arun Venkataraman, Assistant Secretary of Global Markets.
The discussions centered on potential investments in Telangana, highlighting the state’s favorable business environment and successful collaborations with American companies in Hyderabad. Key topics included the importance of sustainability in mining practices, the growing significance of rare earth metal mining, and strategic partnerships for the development of Hyderabad’s new Fourth City.
The meeting concluded positively, with Venkataraman expressing optimism about future collaborations between Telangana and U.S. entities, particularly in sustainable technological advancements aimed at driving economic growth, as noted in a press release.
