Telangana Partners with Singapore’s ITE to Boost Skill Development
The Telangana government has entered into a landmark partnership with the Singapore-based Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to advance skill development initiatives in the state. This collaboration will specifically support the Young India Skill University (YISU), a key initiative designed to enhance technical education and workforce capabilities in Telangana.
In a significant step, the agreement was formalized in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister Sridhar Babu, and key representatives from both the Institute of Technical Education and Young India Skill University. Vice-Chancellor of YISU, V.L.V.S.S. Subbarao, played an instrumental role in the discussions, which led to the establishment of the partnership.
The collaboration comes after ITE officials conducted thorough inspections and deliberations in Telangana, aiming to integrate advanced skill development programs and methodologies to strengthen the state’s workforce. These efforts will provide a strategic framework for technical education, ensuring the state keeps pace with global standards of innovation and skill development.
As part of the agreement, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, currently visiting Singapore, led a delegation that toured ITE’s cutting-edge facilities. The delegation explored more than 20 technical domains, engaging with industry experts and educators. The visit focused on understanding the best practices in skill training and discovering new opportunities to elevate Telangana’s skill development framework.
This partnership between Telangana and ITE marks a significant milestone in the state’s journey towards developing a skilled and competitive workforce, with a clear emphasis on technical education and innovation.
