Telangana Announces SSC Public Examinations for March 2025: Key Details and Preparations

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Telangana, Hyderabad, has officially announced the schedule for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Public Examinations for March 2025. These crucial exams will take place from March 21 to April 4, 2025, across 2,650 examination centers in the state.

Exam Schedule & Arrangements

The exams will be conducted daily from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. However, special timings are set for certain subjects. The First Language Composite Course will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:50 PM, while Science subjects (Physical Science and Biological Science) will be divided into two parts: Part-I (Physical Science) and Part-II (Biological Science), each from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on separate days.

A total of 5,09,403 students—comprising 2,58,895 boys and 2,50,508 girls—from 11,547 schools have registered for the exams. To ensure the smooth conduct of the exams, 2,650 Chief Superintendents, 2,650 Departmental Officers, and 28,100 invigilators have been appointed.

Hall Tickets and Collection

Hall tickets for the exams have already been dispatched to schools through the respective District Educational Officers. Students can collect their hall tickets from their school headmasters or download them from the official website, www.bse.telangana.gov.in, starting March 7, 2025.

A 24-hour control room has been established at the Office of the Director of Government Examinations in Hyderabad and at all District Educational Offices to address any grievances or concerns during the examination period.

Entry Timings & Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates are advised to arrive at the examination centers by 8:30 AM to allow enough time for check-in and avoid delays due to traffic or weather. The latest permissible entry time for students is 9:35 AM (with a five-minute grace period).

It is recommended that students visit their assigned exam centers a day or two before the exams to familiarize themselves with the location.

Security and Malpractice Prevention

To ensure the smooth and fair conduct of exams, senior officers from the School Education Department have been designated as District-Level Observers. There will be adequate police security at all centers, and Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.PC) will be enforced around the exam centers to maintain order. Nearby photocopy centers will remain closed during exam hours.

Anti-malpractice measures include the deployment of 144 flying squads and sitting squads at examination centers. CCTV cameras will be installed in the Chief Superintendent’s room at each center for enhanced monitoring. Additionally, the use of mobile phones and electronic gadgets within exam centers will be strictly prohibited.

Examination Protocols

Students are only allowed to carry essential items into the examination hall, including:

  • Hall ticket
  • Exam pad
  • Pen, pencil, scale, sharpener, eraser, and geometric instruments

OMR sheets will be checked by invigilators before being issued to students. Candidates must write their hall ticket numbers on each page of Part-A of the question paper but are prohibited from writing their hall ticket number, name, signature, or any identifying mark on Part-B (bit paper), graphs, or maps.

Consequences for Malpractice

Candidates found engaging in copying or mass copying will be debarred from future examinations, as per G.O. Rt.No.872 issued by the Education Department in 1992. Similarly, any staff member found negligent in their duties will face disciplinary action under the Telangana Public Examinations Act, 1997, and the applicable CCA rules.

Contact Information

For any issues or assistance, contact details for the District Educational Officer, Tahsildar, and Mandal Educational Officer will be displayed prominently at each examination center.
