Hyderabad’s Prajavani Programme: 5.2 Lakh Complaints Received, 4.3 Lakh Resolved
Hyderabad: The Prajavani programme has successfully addressed a substantial number of citizen grievances since its inception, receiving a total of 523,940 complaints over the past 50 weeks. Of these, 431,348 have been resolved, while 92,592 remain pending. The majority of complaints were related to ration cards, Indiramma houses, and job applications. Additionally, many individuals used the programme to submit applications for government schemes not initially sought.
Prajavani sessions are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at the Mahatma Jyotibha Phule Bhavan. During these sessions, staff assist applicants in drafting their submissions and directing them to the relevant departments. Special desks have been established to streamline the process, featuring representatives from various government sectors. Revenue department officials, including Tehsildars and Deputy Tehsildars, police officials such as CIs, DIGs, and DCPs, and additional directors from welfare departments are present to provide assistance and address citizen concerns effectively.
