Upasana Konidela, the head of corporate social responsibility at the Apollo Hospital Charitable Trust, was appointed as the “National Ranger cum Ambassador of the World Wildlife Fund” for its India branch in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Under a memorandum of understanding signed between Apollo Hospitals and WWF India, Upasana will serve in this role for the next four years. She emphasized the critical role of forest officials in safeguarding both wildlife and human communities, pledging to facilitate quality healthcare at Apollo Hospitals for forest officials and local wildlife protection committee members injured in man-animal conflicts.
“This collaboration strengthens my dedication to raise awareness about human-wildlife conflict. Respect for nature ensures reciprocal blessings,” she affirmed in her statement.
