Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Faces Legal Trouble Amid Police Search
Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, a notable critic of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) following the 2019 elections, is now under scrutiny after switching allegiance to the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Vamsi, who has previously made controversial remarks against TDP leaders Lokesh and Bhuvaneshwari, is also implicated in the Gannavaram TDP office destruction case. Despite being accused, he evaded legal repercussions during the tenure of the YSRCP government.
With the recent change in government, Vamsi is now facing increased legal scrutiny. The Andhra Pradesh police have deployed three specialized teams to Hyderabad, initiating a combing operation to apprehend him. Reports indicate that Vamsi, having left Andhra Pradesh following the downfall of the YSRCP, is currently believed to be in Hyderabad, though his exact whereabouts remain uncertain.
There are also speculations that Vamsi may have fled to the USA, a move he had reportedly considered before the election results due to concerns over potential fallout from his actions over the past five years. As of now, the police continue their search for Vamsi, who remains at large.
