YSR Congress Faces Rebuff in Parliament Over Allegations Against Chandrababu

The latest controversy involves Vijayasai Reddy, who took to Parliament to level serious accusations against former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Reddy alleged that Naidu exploited the Polavaram project as a personal financial gain, likening it to an “ATM” for his benefit.
However, Reddy’s claims were swiftly challenged by Deputy Chairman Harivansh. During the session, Harivansh demanded that Reddy provide concrete evidence to support his allegations by the end of the day. “You must authenticate these claims by evening. Being a senior member, you can’t make false claims like these without proof. Bring the relevant data by evening to back up your allegations,” Harivansh asserted.
Caught off guard by this authoritative intervention, Reddy struggled to substantiate his accusations and attempted to divert the discussion to another topic. This incident underscores the heightened scrutiny and demands for accountability that accompany serious parliamentary allegations, highlighting the need for evidence-based claims in political discourse.
