Vishal Addresses Health Rumours, Reassures Fans and Media at ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ Press Event
Actor Vishal, known for his roles in numerous Tamil films, took to the stage on Saturday to reassure fans and the media about his health following recent rumours circulating on social media. The actor, who was attending the press screening of his upcoming film Madha Gaja Raja, addressed the gathered journalists during the film’s intermission, debunking the rumours and expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming support he had received.
Vishal began by acknowledging the outpouring of messages he had received, stating, “I have realised how many people love me and how many have blessed me with all their heart. I still haven’t replied to 425 messages, all of which said, ‘Recover and come back soon.'”
The actor clarified his health situation, revealing, “I only had a viral fever, which everyone gets. The only difference was that mine was on the higher side. My parents asked me not to attend the Madha Gaja Raja event because I was unwell. However, when I looked in the mirror, I saw the face of director Sundar C sir. I couldn’t miss this event, something I had been looking forward to for years, so I decided to attend.”
Vishal also took the opportunity to address the media present, stating, “This is the true media. To those who pretend to be media, just writing titbits, you cannot be the media. Those of you here today are the true media.” He continued, expressing deep gratitude for the love and care he had received, adding, “I am truly indebted to you for your love. I did not expect this kind of affection. After I left the event, many of you called and messaged to check on my health. I’ve survived for 20 years in this industry because of your love. I am fine and back on track.”
Refuting the rumours suggesting that he had been admitted to Apollo Hospital, Vishal confirmed, “I only received treatment at Kauvery Hospital. I was never admitted to any hospital.” He then quoted a line from his film Mark Antony, saying, “You thought I would fall? I won’t.” He further emphasized his confidence, stating, “My self-confidence and my dad’s self-confidence are my strength. Together, they help me overcome any hurdles. People were saying that I wouldn’t return to shooting for three or six months, but I am fine and back on track.”
With his health concerns now cleared up, Vishal’s statement reassured fans and the media alike that he is on the path to recovery and ready to continue his work in the film industry.
