Hyderabad: BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) has leveled accusations against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, alleging a systematic deception of the public through a sequence of false promises. He criticized Revanth’s approach, labeling it as a two-stage process of misleading the electorate, first during the assembly elections with hollow assurances and now extending into the parliamentary elections.
During the celebration of the BRS’s 23rd foundation day at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, April 27, KTR raised the party flag and expressed gratitude to the party’s multitude of workers and the public for their unwavering support over the past 24 years.
KTR dismissed Revanth’s recent challenge to implement a complete crop loan waiver by August 15, highlighting Revanth’s track record of unfulfilled pledges. He referenced past instances where Revanth vowed to withdraw from politics following electoral defeats, yet failed to honor his commitments.
Challenging Revanth to address BRS MLA Harish Rao’s call to deliver on Congress’s assurances by August 15, KTR questioned Revanth’s ability to achieve in 250 days what he pledged to accomplish in 100 days.
Emphasizing the improbability of Revanth fulfilling his loan waiver pledge, KTR anticipated potential losses for Revanth Reddy in Lok Sabha seats within his native district.
Questioning Revanth’s allegiance between PM Modi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, given his vacillating positions on various issues, from Adani to supporting PM Modi, KTR reiterated his suspicion that Revanth Reddy may align with BJP post Lok Sabha elections.
KTR expressed optimism about securing 10-12 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, citing the electorate’s growing awareness of Congress’s duplicity and BJP’s inability to deliver on major promises since 2014.
He also speculated on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s anticipated success in the AP assembly elections.
Encouraging voters to repudiate the “Bade bhai-chote bhai” (Modi and Revanth) alliance at the polls, KTR urged them to administer a resounding rebuke to both.
