Telangana Chief Minister Invites Governor to 10th Anniversary of State Formation
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met with Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan on Saturday to formally invite him to the 10th anniversary celebrations of the state’s formation on June 2.
Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the Chief Minister extended the invitation during their visit to the Raj Bhavan, as stated in a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
The state government announced on Thursday that the 10th state formation day would be celebrated on a grand scale on June 2, with former Congress president Sonia Gandhi expected to attend. Additionally, a personal invitation has been extended to former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
In accordance with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s directive, Harkara Venugopal, the government’s advisor on protocol issues, delivered the invitation and a letter from the Chief Minister to Chandrasekhar Rao at his residence in Banjara Hills on Friday.
Telangana was officially formed on June 2, 2014, following the bifurcation of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
